4 in 1 convertible dress

Halter, wrap, one shoulder, strapless, and many other crazy ways...this was the appeal of my newest purchase. Everyone is always looking for that little black dress, well what better than a little back dress that can go from day to evening or from casual to fancy. That way, if you are strapped for cash, like I am, and you need will have one new dress that you can wear like a billion different ways. So, I am still experimenting with the different ways I can wear it and I will post pictures later but I strongly encourage everyone to go out and buy a convertible dress.
The revolutions made by this one little dress may change the face of the world! Today one dress that can be changed into many different dresses.....Tomorrow convertible EVERYTHING!

Treading Water

Maybe it is the monday morning blues or maybe it is just my hope slowly dying but I am FRUSTRATED with work right now. I work twice as hard as a lot of people I know and get paid almost nothing! My sister makes almost double what I make answering phones; granted, isn't the funnest job and she is one of the hardest workers I know, and deserves the money she makes. But for me, I feel like I am just treading water. I make just about enough money each month to break even...which means in the current job I am in, I will never be able to make enough. Now, most of you out there are probably like, suck it up at least you have a job or if you hate your job so much why don't you find a new one. And yes, I know I am lucky to have a job in comparison to all the others who have unfortuantely been laid off. And no, I am not just sitting around and complaining and never trying to change things or find a new job. I have been actively applying for jobs since Feb and this is what I have to show for it: 0 - job offers, 2 - interviews, 45 - dear john rejection letters, 60 - no responses. So excuse me world if I am feeling a little pesimistic these days.
So what am I doing wrong, I have a kick ass cover letter and resume, I have a business degree, and I am a very hard worker. The only downfall is that i tend to get overly nervous in the interview..but considering I don't mention that in the resume, I should be getting more interviews.
So......I am an over qualified under appreciated admistrative worker who is just treading water, never moving forward and never moving backwards. Just stuck where I am.

(sorry for the depressing monday morning rant, but sometimes you just need a little rant to purge the system of the negativity)

TTC Manners

I am relatively new to the ttc riding world, and I have noticed a few things that I would just like to clarify.
1. People should be let off first! so if you are that person pushing your way on to the train before the people get a chance to get off...Back up and relax, the train ain't leaving without you and if it does the next one will come along in like 2 minutes.
2. Look around before choosing your spot to stand! I know that holding onto a poll is important when you have to stand on the subway but that does not mean you can crowd someone into a corner. Also if the subway has now become less crowded and there is more space available...move to make room for the person you are crowding!
3. If you are sitting beside someone, DO NOT take up as much room as you feel like! Yes we would all love to spread out and be comfortable but sometimes you can't and because you want to doesn't make that okay. It is not a place to read the news paper all unfolded because there isn't room for that and the person beside you doesn't want to read your newspaper.

Anyways these are just a few rules that I have come up with to help make the subway experience better.

new resolutions

Okay, I know most of you only make resolutions at new years but I think it shouldn't matter the time of year...you should make it when you feel it is needed. Me for example, my new resolution is to stop letting fear control me. Fear is a big enemy for me, you may even call him my arch-nemesis! A lot of times I let fear control what I do.....BUT not anymore. It is time for me to take control of my life and kick fear out. So how do I do this...its not like I can just start with like base jumping or something. So baby steps. And I can tell you excitedly that I did something that I have always been terrified of....A blind date. Dates in general..not my strong suit because I am sort of socially awkward, and when I get nervous I tend to ramble.
But doing something that scares you and seeing that it isn't that scary is very empowering.
I suggest all of you out there go out and do one thing that scares you. You will feel amazing afterwards.
